First and foremost we are timber framers. It's what we know best and what makes us tick.

We specialise in designing and constructing using timber where the structure is a primary part of the finished aesthetic.

Our bread & butter is traditional post & beam (also known as Oak Framing) using centuries old methods and techniques along with mortise and tenon joinery to create beautiful structures full of character... However we are also experienced using cutting edge techniques and technology to create contemporary timber builds.

We generally use green oak or douglas fir but love working with a variety of timbers. We're really keen to use timber as locally sourced as possible to reduce carbon emissions from transport... and from plantations that promote biodiverse forests.

We can help with developing initial concepts and ideas through to fabrication and installation. We're happy to take on design work ourselves or for more complex builds point you in the direction of some good architects and engineers that we can work with.

We're a small crew headed up by Ollie and currently call on a trusted close network of carpenters and craftspeople to help fabricate and install frames.
